Satinjet Kiri Launch [NZ]
Auckland, New Zealand - 01 March 2007. Responding to the call from the hospitality and commercial sectors for a shower that would offer the Satinjet experience but with the functionality and sturdiness of design suited to this high usage sector, Methven has launched Satinjet 'Kiri'.
Satinjet Kiri will add to the Satinjet family of sleekly designed and inspiring shower experiences and increase its accessibility to a wider audience. Since the 2004 launch of Satinjet, it has been applauded for its durability, flexibility and exceptional showering experience likened to 'being kissed by water.'Methven Head of Design, Kent Sneddon says that Satinjet Kiri has been designed with key commercial considerations being top of mind as well as bather comfort and being aesthetically complimentary to a wide range of commercial and residential settings. 'In keeping with the environmental responsibilities of both our commercial and residential partners, Satinjet Kiri has been designed to maximise water savings and at 9 litres per minute has a proven water & energy saving ability of up to 40%.'
Taking its name from the New Zealand Maori word for 'skin', Satinjet Kiri aims to embrace the spirit of showering by nurturing the skin with a luxurious showering experience created by design technology that integrates a twin-jet shower function with high performance even at low pressure.
Specific design elements aimed at the commercial market include increased durability and flexibility of functionality for a range of water saving and pressure requirements. These benefits have greatest appeal to commercial customers who are working within legislative environments in respect to water and energy consumption, which Kiri can fulfil with ease. Additionally, environmental considerations and protocols surrounding water saving measures can be adhered to without compromising the showering experience. With two separate shower heads specifically designed, one for high mains pressure and one for uneven or low pressure water supplies, users can be assured of achieving their water and energy consumption objectives.
Methven head of design, Kent Sneddon says that Kiri 'redefines Satinjet as an affordable, yet highly functional showering solution that has been designed to meet the needs and requirements for environmentally compliant products within the commercial market as well as offering an advanced design solution to residential settings.. Kent adds that the design challenge was to create a technologically advanced showering solution of substance to withstand the needs of the commercial market whilst upholding all of the aesthetic and experiential attributes that are demanded by today's discerning customer, be they a homeowner or commercial guest. Kent says that the sleek and contemporary form of Kiri coupled with exceptional functionality is expected to increase the scope of appeal of Satinjet's latest incarnation.
