The Methven Group is establishing its credentials as a world-class international business as it expands its geographic market presence for its proprietary technology, showering systems and tapware ranges, earning a reputation for innovative, high quality, and water and energy efficient products.

New Zealand is the design and engineering hub, test-bed and pilot production facility for new products, supported by a global management team with complementary sales and marketing, supply chain and financial skills.

New Zealand & Australia

Methven’s sales and marketing team comprises 20 staff in New Zealand, plus a sales and customer services call centre in Dunedin. Methven aims to deliver product within 24 hours of order. A network of qualified service plumbers ensures in-market product support is maintained.

Australia

Methven Australia’s sales & marketing team has 27 staff which provide excellent coverage and representation. Valving products are distributed in Australia by NEFA Limited. Sales and marketing activities are aimed distinctively at each audience and the team help by providing well displayed and packaged quality products which conform to the relevant Australian Standard and appropriate authority regulations.

USA

Methven USA Inc. was established in 2006 to market our proprietary Satinjet products. Our office in Wisconsin services a network of agents across the USA.

UK

In July 2007, Methven acquired The Deva Tap Company Limited. Based near Manchester, Deva is one of the UK’s largest independent shower and tapware suppliers, supporting the efforts of house builders, local authorities, housing associations, architects, interior designers, contractors, merchants, retailers and DIY stores. With over 140 employees, field based customer support and specification teams, Deva deliver the latest styles of kitchen and bathroom taps, showers and accessories, next day - nationwide.

Our Auckland, New Zealand production plant employs 70 staff and uses the latest in computer controlled casting, machining, polishing and plating equipment.

To ensure consistent high quality product, our factory ISO 9001:2000 certified and is subject to regular process audits.

We observe manufacturing principles that strive to maximise responsiveness and minimise stock holding whilst providing our customer-base with product delivery within 24 hours of an order being received (New Zealand only).

As part of our on-going commitment to providing solutions for our entire customer base, we have also set up a procurement office in China.

Distribution and Logistics are a core part of the Methven infrastructure allowing the delivery of product and services in full, on time and to specification.

We currently employ a comprehensive ERP system, allowing our customers to log on to a secure site to view and or place orders via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).

Methven's Head Office and key manufacturing and service operations are registered to the internationally recognized ISO 9001 quality standard, assurance that these operations maintain consistently high standards.

Product

Methven is committed to providing our customers with superior quality and have implemented rigorous quality systems to assure this. We place a strong emphasis on quality design, utilising problem and waste prevention to build quality into our products and processes.

All our products are manufactured to specific Methven specifications and undergo testing to assure conformance. Where possible our products are certified to various regional standards and specifications to ensure compliance with all aspects of the products performance.

Environmental

We recognize the necessity for responsible environmental management and conservation of resources. Pollution prevention, recycling, and reduction of all types of waste and emissions are integral parts of Methven’s environmental program.

Continuous Improvement and Customer Satisfaction

Continuous improvement at Methven is one of the key strategies of our manufacturing locations to constantly improve our product and processes. Methven also uses many customer satisfaction measurements to determine our performance in the marketplace with distributors, major customers, and the ultimate end users of our products.
